The day care centres in LHO North Dublin aim to provide optimum quality care that focuses on the client as an individual with individual needs.The staff of the Day Care Centre aim to promote independence while promoting physical and mental health through education,health promotion and group activity.

Criteria for Entry

Referral System:All referrals must come through the community via the Public Health Nurse/Registered General Nurse,Social Worker,General Practitioner,Community Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist,following assessment.The purpose of the assessment is to identify the clients needs and ensure the Day Care Centre can meet those needs,persons must be aged over 65 years.

Services Provided

Group Activities,Social Interaction,Health Promotion Programmes,Therapeutic Activity e.g. Kepp Fit,Games,Crafts,Quizzes,Information and Advice.The Day Care Centre operates Wednesday-Friday 9.30am-4.00pm in The Little Theatre (Skerries Community Centre)
